The cute and catchy title of this book is misleading. A more appropriate title would be: “Redundant Lists of Online Jobs.”This book is simply a list of freelancing jobs, organized much like a phone book. It’s also not as long as it looks. I grabbed a sample and saw it was a huge file, so I expected a ton of content. Instead, I found that descriptions of various job boards are listed verbatim multiple times. Content is broken down by chapter (ie jobs for writing, driving, photography) but each chapter contains job resources that all of the other chapters have. At the midway point, the book just turns into a mega list. All content that was already written multiple times is then listed in one big alphabetical list.Information is repeated, verbatim, multiple times. Did I mention that already?I thought this book was going to tell me how to make money from various platforms, but it’s just a directory. Jobs that pay pennies (like mTurk) are listed in the same chapter as jobs that actually pay wages. There’s no differentiation between the jobs. There’s also no conjecture from the author. I like the author. The little I’ve read on her is fascinating, and I wanted to hear a book from her. She’s a good writer, and I wanted to hear her voice.On the plus side, there are some good leads for jobs I’d never considered. The directory can get one’s mind spinning. I should probably give this 3 stars, I’m just annoyed at the cost ($9.99 is steep for me — I usually pay a max of $2.99 for eBooks!) and what feels like bait and switch. I wanted to read the book “Work From Home While You Roam.” THAT book sounds great! I follow this author on YouTube. Her books have tons of information. All the info I wanted but didn’t know how to get. Plus, the links are super helpful. I’ve purchased all her books. I’m looking forward to her suspense series coming out. Hopefully soon.
